This Week's Haul

Pretty good day for yard sales, with a payoff of 5 new VHS movies and one DVD. I also got about 50 classic Nintendo Power magazines, I think they will have a good resale value. Anyway on to the movie loot.

Jacob's Ladder
Tim Robbins is trippin' after his time in Vietnam, A good freaky Psychological movie. Apparently, the Silent Hill video games are heavily influenced by this movie among others. Check it out.

Death Becomes Her
A really fun demented movie about these two women who drink from a fountain of youth and find that they can't die, however they still bare the damages. So spinning Meryl Streep's head around gives her a good wobbly neck. It feels like a Danny DeVito like movie, but this one comes from another of my favorite directors, Robert Zemeckis.

Dire Straits' On The Night, and The Videos
Two videos of one of the greatest 80's bands and a showcase of Mark Knopfler's brilliant fingerwork on guitar. Mesmerizing.

The Graduate
Dustin Hoffman is one of the greatest actors of all time, this movie is all him. He plays a young college graduate who finds himself being seduced endlessly by his father's friend's wife. Its just funny, and it launched Hoffman's career.

Sleeping Beauty on DVD
Honestly, I don't remember much of this movie. But 10 bucks for a Special Edition Disney DVD is a good buy. I was going to buy Anger Management too, but this cursed woman grabbed it first. Blast, now I have to rent it.
