Top Ten Movies Starting with the Letter “A”
1. Amadeus – Brilliant Drama from Milos Forman, F. Murray Abraham Stars
2. Almost Famous – Cameron Crowe’s finest hour, makes me want to be a journalist
3. Army of Darkness – Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell mix so many genres into pure gold
4. American Beauty – Kevin Spacey captures the mid-life crisis, and Wes Bentley looks at bags
5. American History X – Edward Norton plays the ultimate Neo-Nazi, and somehow makes you feel for them.
6. Abyss – One of the best sci-fi movies, and Ed Harris is always good.
7. Another You – Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor always rule, and yodeling
8. Aliens – Another good sci-fi but with a bit more teeth, two conjoining sets of them.
9. Arachnophobia – John Goodman as the cowboy exterminator, and Jeff Daniels in one of his better non-comedic roles.
10. Arlington Road – Tim Robbins is eerie, if only Jeff Bridges could have been cast elsewhere, like White Squall 2. It would have ruled if someone like Kurt Russell got the part instead.
