I feel the need to mention this about once a month, but all of my Top Ten Lists are not in order. I can't make up my mind enough to order them, just enough to cut it down to ten. Thank You
Top Ten Steve Martin Movies
1. The Jerk - His best early comedy, and his definitive work.
2. Dirty Rotten Scoundrels - He works so well opposite Michael Caine and has by now perfected his style.
3. Parenthood - A brilliant blend of humor and drama, Steve Martin finds his calling for several years.
4. My Blue Heaven - I have to watch this movie every few months, its just hiliarious.
5. Bowfinger - Hated by some, but I loved the concept and somehow Eddie Murphy was actually funny.
6. Planes, Trains, and Automobiles - Martin and John Candy together in one of the funniest movies ever.
7. Leap of Faith - He was a perfect swarmy fake preacher, I think he played the part better than anyone I can imagine.
8. Father of the Bride 1+2 - Once again teaming up with Martin Short, this one is another comedy/drama that works.
9. The Three Amigos - Not perfect but these three heavyweights (Chase. Martin, Short) are all funny, and even more when together.
10. Sgt. Bilko - A guilty pleasure of mine, this probably wouldn't make everyone's list. But I just loved seeing Martin playing a part like his 70's classics.
Honorable Mentions to The Man with Two Brains, Roxanne, and his part as the sedistic dentist in Little Shop of Horrors.
